As this case attracts media frenzy every passing day, interesting revelations about the case keep surfacing. Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant has made several claims which point towards a possible BJP angle in the case. Sandeep Singh was involved in the making of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s biopic starring Vivek Oberoi which released last year. Sawant revealed the photos of Singh with former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis.

Sachin Sawant has claimed that during September 1st to December 23rd, 2019, Sandeep Singh had called the party office 53 times. He has also released some documents which reveal that Singh was accused of sexually assaulting a minor in Mauritius during his Indian embassy backed visit in 2018. Sawant had a flood of questions regarding why was a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor chosen for making the Prime Minister’s biopic.

Reacting to these allegations, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that the state government will write to CBI to probe these allegations. Meanwhile BJP MLA Ram Kadam has refuted these charges and called them baseless.
